- Details of the nominated position, including job description and salary.
Regional Certifying Body Approval
What is RCB Approval?
The Regional Certifying Body (RCB) is a key part of the Subclass 494 Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visa (SC494). This visa helps
regional Australian businesses hire skilled overseas workers when they can’t find local workers.
The RCB checks if:
- The job is in a designated regional area.
- The job offer is genuine and meets visa requirements.
- The worker has the right skills, qualifications, and experience for the role.
- The worker will be paid the correct salary (market rate).
How Does It Work?
Become a Sponsor: The employer must first become a Standard Business Sponsor.
2. Nominate the Worker: The employer nominates the skilled worker for the SC494 visa.
3. RCB Assessment: The RCB reviews the job offer and the worker’s skills to
ensure they meet visa requirements.
4. Visa Application: Once the RCB approves, the worker can apply for the SC494 visa.
Why It’s Important
RCB approval ensures that:
- The job is genuine and needed in a regional area.
- The worker is qualified and will be paid fairly.
- Your business meets all visa requirements.
